Spending my childhood in both South Australia and the Northern Territory of Australia I was fortunate enough to travel to remote communities with my father for his work. These early adventures ignited my deep interest in the possibilities of exploring and documenting the richness of our shared humanity through photography. After finishing school I travelled to New York City where I became a full time assistant to the photographer Annie Liebovitz. After this intense and rewarding experience I continued to assist some of contemporary photographs most respected figures. These included Mary Ellen Mark, Harry Benson and Mark Seliger.

Eventually I struck out on my own and in the subsequent twenty years I have continued to concentrate on the central tenant to my work which is meaningful human engagement. My primary objective is to have a subject feel that our shared experience is translated to images that connect us all.

My portraits are displayed in the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery of Australia and in the African American Museum of History and Culture in Washington DC. Exhibitions include the National Geographic Museum in Washington DC.
